The virtue of the Day of Arafe

Osveh, Cultural Institute of Qur'an and Atrat Osveh,

The word Arafe comes from the word "ma'rifat". There is a land outside the city of Mecca called Arafat. On the ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah, the night of Eid al-Adha, pilgrims must be in the land of Arafat from dawn to dusk. We have a narration that if someone is in Arafat from dawn to dusk and doubts whether God has forgiven him or not, this doubt is also a sin. That is, he must be certain that God has forgiven him. Imam Hussain (AS) is tied to Arafat. The day before Arafat, Imam Hussain (AS) left Mecca because if he had stayed there, Yazid would have shed his blood in Mecca, and the Imam left Mecca to preserve the respect of the Kaaba. All pilgrims come to Mecca on the night of Arafat, but the Imam must leave Mecca, that is, his father's birthplace.
The 9th of Dhul-Hijjah is the Day of Arafe, a day of supplication and prayer, and the day when the doors of God's forgiveness and mercy are opened to His servants. Special deeds have been mentioned for the night and day of Arafe, one of which is the pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (AS). On the Day of Arafe, God looks at the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (AS) even before those who are in the desert of Arafat, and accepts their prayers, supplications, and repentance.
In his prayers, Imam (a.s.) not only mentioned his spiritual and physical needs, but also all the common desires of Muslims, but also of all humans, and called upon God to answer them. The general prayers of Imam Hossein (a.s.) can be summarized in the following cases: In hardship and problems. In these cases, the Imam asks God to grant him patience and prevent him from falling. Imam Hussein (AS) searches for servitude in the human nature and considers its strengthening and development as the cause of human exaltation. In his view, God created man to realize the originality of servitude and its role in his development. The Imam explicitly declares that obedience to God is obligatory on him and on all humans, both intellectually and religiously, and humans must strive to fulfill God's commands. "You have made your obedience and worship obligatory on me, and you have taught me what the prophets brought." Imam Hussein's (AS) statement is the foundation of religiosity. Because there is no religion in which the important issue of servitude is not considered. Well, in Arabic and Hebrew, the word religion means submission, and in ancient Iranian languages, it means conscience, which is closely related to the servitude that the Imam proposed. Therefore, Imam Hussein's (AS) statement is precisely rooted in the human nature and the philosophy of religion.
ne of the honors of man is that God accepts him as His servant and takes him out of the circle of the rebellious, the rebellious, and the misguided. Whoever reaches this position has achieved a great blessing. From the Imam's perspective, no favor is possible except by the will of God, the Owner of favors. For this reason, he praised Him for bestowing favors on us; because nothing is worth a person's favor, except for that favor that is only within the scope of God's power. One of them is the favor of creation and giving existence. Everything finds meaning and value in the light of existence, existence itself is a blessing from the Creator of existence who has given the pleasure of existence to nothingness.
