Hajij Village

Kermanshah - Darian Dam is an earthen dam built on the Sirvan River near the city of Paveh and adjacent to the village of Darian. The beautiful nature of the lake of this dam is currently hosting Nowruz tourists.
According to IRNA; (Hajij) is one of the amazing and attractive villages in Kermanshah province in the Oramanat region, which always enchants tourists with its beauty.
The most important reason to go to (Hajij) is its beautiful nature. Blue skies, abundant springs, a roaring river, lush green hills, clean air, and beautiful architecture have made this village one of the best travel destinations.
The village of Hajij is located among the mountains and, except for the east of the village, the other three sides are bordered by high mountains.
When you drive from Paveh to the village of Hejij, you will follow the flow of the Sirvan River for a third of the way. Just when you are lost in the beauty of the path, you enter the beautiful and pleasant village of Hejij.
What first catches the eye of every viewer are the tall and majestic mountains surrounding the village. This village is located among the Zagros Mountains, which is why it has a cool and pleasant climate.
Apparently, the reason for the village's emergence in such a location was the presence of two springs on the northern and western heights of the village. The village dates back 1,200 years.
If you want to enjoy the beauty of the starry sky of Hajij, we suggest spending the night in one of the accommodations inside the village. Wake up early in the morning and make the most of the silence and tranquility and the clean and pleasant air of the village.
The village of Hajij means a deep, lush valley, and it accurately describes the characteristics of this village. Visiting the beautiful village of Hajij with its hospitable people can be one of the best trips of your life, but don't forget to respect nature and the culture of the people when traveling to Hajij, and avoid any abnormal behavior that disrupts the peace of the environment and the people.
The houses in this village are built in a stepped manner and facing south to make the best use of sunlight. Being located on the mountainside, the village's alleys take on a semicircular shape. The houses do not have courtyards, and the roof of each house is the courtyard of the upper house and is used as a passage for passersby.
The older houses are built with cut stone and mud mortar for the walls and wood for the roof. The village's doors and windows are small to keep out the cold winter air, and they are all painted sky blue.
One of the reasons for using stepped architecture is the lack of flat land. This issue has also affected the nature and green space inside the village, so much so that the villagers are forced to carve mountain rocks to plant herbs around their houses and, by pouring soil and fertilizer inside them, plant various seeds. Something like large stone pots.
The people of this land speak Kurdish, which is very similar to Avestan and Pahlavi. A sweet language that is considered one of the most authentic Kurdish dialects.
The simple stone building with wooden columns and a clay interior covering, with beautiful felts adorning the interior, is a place for residents to retreat and live in seclusion, which is why it is called a seclusion house.
The farmers of this village produce and prepare products such as yogurt, curd, milk, animal oil, and butter for sale. Fruits such as walnuts and pomegranates are also harvested from the orchards of this village, which are of very high quality. The mountains around Hejij are full of medicinal plants such as borage, marshmallow, ginseng, and yarrow, which the locals collect and sell in the spring.
In the field of handicrafts, the most important souvenir of Hajij village is a type of high-quality gift box, which is produced by the men and women of the village with great care and elegance and is known as "Kalash".Various types of woolen clothes, rugs, handkerchiefs, jajims, shawls, and baskets are other souvenirs from Hajij village that you can buy for your friends and acquaintances.
