One of the children of Imam Hossein (AS) was named Hazrat Roghayyeh (SA). According to some historical books, the name of Hazrat Roghayyeh's mother was Umm Ishaq, who was previously the wife of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS) and before she was martyred, she bequeathed to her brother Imam Hossein (AS) to marry his wife Umm Ishaq. Imam Hossein (AS) carried out his brother's bequest and the result of the marriage between Imam Hossein (AS) and Umm Ishaq was a beautiful girl named Roghayyeh .
Hazrat Roghayyeh (AS), who was educated by the dignity of Imam Hossein and the chastity of Hazrat Zeynab, outlined the points and manifestations of propaganda and education.
Roghayyeh is derived from "ruqi" meaning to rise and progress. It seems that this name was the title of the Imam and her real name was Fatima, because the name Roghayyeh is less common among the daughters of Imam Hossein (AS).
Hazrat Roghayyeh was so devoted and selfless, and had a great sense of responsibility and patience that when the woman was bathing the Imam, she stopped bathing him and asked her aunt Zeynab (PBUH), "What disease does this child have?" while her body was bruised from the severity of the enemy's whip. Hazrat Roghayyeh's (PBUH) affection for Imam Hossein (PBUH) was expressed in a special and general way during the Ashura incident. Due to her dependence on her father, the absence of Imam Hossein (PBUH) was so difficult and unbearable for her that she said, "Bless your soul, O Imam Hossein (PBUH)."
The Karbala movement had various dimensions of epicness, patience, perseverance, etc. One of the dimensions was the emotional dimension, and it was the responsibility of women and girls, including Hazrat Roghayyeh (PBUH), to ignite the emotional dimension of the Ashura event
By studying the history of the Hosseini movement and the event of Ashura, it becomes clear that the support of the family of Imam Hussein (AS), especially the children and Imam Sajjad (AS) and Zeinab Kubra (SA), had a positive and global impact on the Hosseini movement and was one of the factors in the victory of the Hosseini uprising, because the family of Imam Hussein (AS) was able to complete the unfinished work of the Imam (AS) through hardship and enduring captivity and conveying the message, goals, and nature of the uprising and the incident of Karbala to the ears of the people. Another role of Hazrat Roghayyeh (PBUH) was to strengthen the memory of the martyrdom of Imam Hossein(PBUH), because the calamities that befall individuals are gradually erased from people's memories, but with the presence of people like Hazrat Roghayyeh (PBUH), the memory of Imam Hossein (PBUH) and her companions remained in the minds forever. Everyone knows that the emotional relationship between a father and a daughter is very close, but in the case of Hazrat Ruqayyah (PBUH), whose mother died after her birth, a deeper father-daughter relationship was formed. When on the day of Ashura, this noble lady witnessed the bloodied and beheaded people, it was a heartbreaking and worrying scene for this noble lady. This incident is painful for a little girl who is now left alone. The bad treatment of those who were taking the Karbala caravan to Damascus had caused Hazrat Zeynab (PBUH) and Imam Sajjad (PBUH) to repeatedly warn them about their behavior with children.
