What happened to Imam Hussein duringTASUA the day?
The ninth day of Muharram, which is known as Tasua, was the last day that Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions realized in the evening, and this day was linked to the night of Ashura. For this reason, it is of great importance for Muslims and lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS). Historical Muslims of Islamic Iran, like many Muslims around the world, attribute this day to Ghiratullah and the butler of the Karbala plain, Hazrat Abul-Fazl al-Abbas (AS), and celebrate it as the day of Ashura.
It became the subject of war with Imam Hussein (AS). With the invasion of the army in the evening of this day to the tent of the Imam, Imam (AS) sent his brother Abbas Ibn Ali, asked them to give them a night off. Also, on this day, Shamar brought a letter of trust for Hazrat Abbas and the other sons of Umm al-Banun; But Hazrat Abbas did not accept. Shiites consider Tasoa to be the day of Abbas (AS) and celebrate it like the day of Ashura, mentioning the virtues of that Imam and mourning.
The ninth day of Muharram is called "Tasua". "Tasoa" comes from the root "ninth" meaning ninth and ninth. The fame of this day is due to the events that took place on the ninth day of Muharram in the year 61 AH in the land of Karbala
Tasoa is a commemoration of the martyrdom of Abbas Ibn Ali (AS) as a model of self-sacrifice, literature, bravery, loyalty and humiliation, and after more than one thousand three hundred years, history is still clear of his virtues and his name is associated with loyalty, politeness and masculinity. The devoted commander set foot on the Euphrates with his thirsty lips and burnt liver, but his chivalry and loyalty did not allow him to drink water and the Imam and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and the children were thirsty. Thirsty lips came out of the Euphrates to deliver water to the children.
Shamar ibn Dhi Al-Jushn, who was more advanced than the others in his enmity towards the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and was present at the Karbala incident with special fervor, delivered the intense letter of Al-Lahan Obaidullah to Umar ibn Sa'd on the ninth day of Muharram and Inform the meaning of Obaidullah.
Shamar, who was the commander of the infantry of Umar ibn Sa'd and one of the key and filthy elements of the Karbala incident, wrote a letter from Umar ibn Sa'd to the four sons of Rashid and the hero of Umm al-Banun (peace be upon him) Abbas, Abdullah, Ja'far and Uthman, brothers He brought the father of Imam Hussein (AS) to separate them from the God-seeking and truth-seeking army of Imam Hussein (AS).
Hazrat Abbas (pbuh), who was the center of loyalty and the mine of zeal, called on him: Cut off your hands and may God curse you and your letter of safety. O enemy of God, you are ordering us to give up the help of our brother and beloved Hussein (as) and to obey the accursed and their impure children. Do you spare us, but it is not safe for the son of the Messenger of God, peace be upon him and his family?
Shamar was angered by the tooth-breaking response of the sons of Umm al-Banun and returned to his tent.
After rejecting the trust letter, Umar ibn Sa'd's army was ordered to prepare for war, so everyone got on board.
