Ghadir Khum

Ghadir Khum

Ghadir incident from a political point of view

The Ghadir event is one of the most important events in the history of Islam, in which the Prophet of Islam (pbuh) announced Imam Ali (a.s.) as his successor while returning from the farewell Hajj on 18 Dhul-Hijjah of the 10th lunar year in Ghadir Kham. Those present in that event, among whom were the elders of the Companions, pledged allegiance to Imam Ali (a.s.).
The most important event of the eventful period of the time of the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, is Ghadir Khum, in which, in this great event, Hazrat Ali, may God bless him and grant him peace, acted as the successor of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He was elected and received the title of Commander of the Faithful. The effects of this great incident have continued until now, and over many centuries Shia and Sunni theologians, hadith scholars and historians have studied this issue.
This introduction was according to God's order in the verse of Tabligh. This verse ordered the Prophet (PBUH) to convey what God revealed to him, and if he does not do this, he has not fulfilled his mission. After the incident of Ghadir, the verse of Akmal was revealed,
Which said: "Today I have perfected your religion and completed my blessings on you and I have favored the religion of Islam for you."
"Imam" in Islamic culture is a title that has two uses; He stated: First, the position of Imamate is the intermediary of grace between God and the people, and the actions of the servants are accepted by them, and this position is not something that a person can grant to someone or usurp it from him; God provided it before the creation of Adam and it cannot be usurped.
The second meaning of this title is imamate for the execution of rulings and justice, leadership and guidance of people, right and invalidation, and to whomever God grants; In Ghadir, this position of leadership and leadership of the people was delegated to Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and it was usurped in Saqifah. Therefore, in Islamic politics, the issue of leading the society and guiding people to God, implementing the decrees, and fighting falsehood is a position that should be placed in the hands of the most righteous people.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stated that one of the dimensions of Ghadir is the negation of the secular view of religion and considers the truth of the Ghadir Khum incident to be the connection between religion and politics and the presence of religion in the context of society: "those who tried to remove Islam from social and political issues and If they limit it to personal issues and private issues of people's lives - and in fact have a secular view of Islam, which the propaganda of the enemies and the hands of the enemies have promoted this view among Muslims over the years - their answer is the issue of Ghadeer... The installation of Amir al Momineen did not only mean the installation of spiritual aspects, but it can be said that the issue of spiritual aspects cannot be installed; What can be installed is: government, state management, politics, management of Islamic society; This is what the Holy Prophet recommended to the people.
Imam (peace be upon him) wanted to get the right because he was responsible for what was entrusted to him in Ghadir
