In this article, we discuss the necessity of cleanliness in the health of the body from the Islamic point of view.
Cleaning
The role of cleanliness in human health as one of the most important axes of prevention of physical diseases, skin and environmental pollution. Because germs can be transmitted to the human body during the day and night under the influence of air pollution, dust, contact with other human beings and eating contaminated food, so to prevent various diseases and ensure health, observe cleanliness It is necessary in various dimensions.Islam has given special importance to the issue of cleanliness. The Holy Qur'an introduces the pure and chaste people as beloved of God and says: God loves the repentant and the pure.The Holy Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him and his family) says about the importance of cleanliness: "As much as you can, be diligent in cleaning; "Because God has built Islam on cleanliness and he will not enter Paradise unless he observes cleanliness."
1. Washing hands: One of the important emphases of Islam is washing hands before eating and after, with clean water. Islam also advises anyone who wants to eat not to wash their hands with a towel after washing to eliminate the possibility of contamination.
2. Performing ablution: Every Muslim needs to perform ablution in order to perform his prayers; That is, wash certain parts of the body. In addition to its spiritual effects, ablution is effective in cleaning dust and external impurities and removing pus and refreshing the skin.
3. Bathing: Bathing with lukewarm water has several effects:1. Removal of impurities and cleansing of the body; 2. Relieve fatigue and bruises and create vitality; 3. Performing a ritual act, ie ghusl.In Islamic teachings, the number of baths per week (in unnecessary cases) is recommended for individuals, every other day; Of course, those who are obese can go to the bathroom every day to lose weight.Islam has a special recommendation regarding the quality of bathing, which is effective in maintaining health; For example, it forbids man from drinking cold water in the bath and pouring it on the body; Combing and brushing in the bathroom is also disgusting.Timely and regular bathing and thorough washing prevent the skin from bursting. It also eliminates some skin diseases to a great extent; The fat released from the endocrine glands improves the skin, which is in contact with the dust of the environment and closes the pores of the body, and the skin is refreshed and refreshed.
4. Nail biting: Under the nails, where germs and contaminants accumulate, cutting them can play an important role in personal health; That is why it is recommended to trim nails once a week. The Holy Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Cutting nails removes major diseases and increases sustenance. Trim your nails; Because nails are the place where germs are absorbed. In the field of human hygiene, there has been talk with the public environment that we only talked about human personal health.As briefly discussed in this article, Islam is a religion that refers to all parts of human life and has spoken for each part of it, and human beings can have a right and healthy life according to it.
