France: Iran jeopardizes the opportunity to reach an agreement to revive Barjam
The French Foreign Ministry said on Monday that if Iran did not return to the negotiating table soon, it would jeopardize the chances of reaching an agreement with world powers and reviving the 2015 nuclear deal.
"You have said many times that there is a limited time to save the nuclear deal," French Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Agnes von Dermol told reporters during a daily news conference. "How long do you want to wait for a return to nuclear talks while Iran's nuclear capabilities are increasing every day?"
"We are in close consultation with our European partners and other UNHCR partners, as well as with the United States; "With the aim of resuming negotiations as soon as possible and reaching an agreement.
However, even with the quick resumption of negotiations, the path to an agreement does not seem to be smooth. About a week ago, Ali Rabiee, the government spokesman who is spending his last days in office, announced that although the main part of the negotiations and the initial memoranda of understanding for the lifting of sanctions have been prepared, the committee formed in the Supreme National Security Council Who is responsible for implementing the text of the MoU with the law of the Islamic Consultative Assembly approved in December last year, has declared this MoU "incompatible" with it. However, hours after the announcement of the government spokesman, Keyvan Khosravi, the spokesman of the Supreme National Security Council, denied Ali Rabiee's remarks, calling the reason for the failure of the talks to revive Borjam "bullying of the United States and some European countries."
