The visible and hidden role of women in Karbala
Throughout human history, the prominent roles of women have been the golden leaves of history. The eyes, hands, and laps of educated and great women have always been and are the guardians of the high values and ideals of mankind, and this fact can never be denied or mentioned in a small way.
A general view, noble women who, due to their stewardship and love for the Imam of their time, accompanied the Prophet and did not leave that great man of love and epic alone for a moment, are among these role players. We believe that behind every movement, there is a great idea, and even the little girls of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) started this journey based on their great beliefs; just as Hazrat Zainab (peace be upon her) chose this journey with a constructive belief.
The indirect role that women play by raising their children correctly and raising a self-made, brave and responsible generation. Lili, (mother of Ali Akbar (peace be upon him)), Umm -albanin, (mother of Hazrat Abul Fazl (peace be upon him)) and other mothers of martyrs and veterans also play this indirect role. It is obvious that wives and sisters also play a role in the movements with their profound influence indirectly, and in other words, they are history makers.
The direct role and social presence, in other words, the physical presence in the great and revolutionary movement of Karbala, which we will discuss in the future. The statistics of women fighters such as Umm Wahhab, and women martyrs and aid workers in the Karbala incident show the importance of this role.
Since Imam Hussain's uprising was a cultural movement and it took place to revive the tradition of God and his beloved Messenger and was not just an emotional and political epic, we can understand the important role of such popular bases; Because cultural foundation and foundations and principles for global uprisings always start from small places; As the starting point of Islam was from the house of Zayd Ibn Arqam and later it spread worldwide.
When we research about women and their direct presence in the sensitive scenes of Ashura and Karbala, the long name of Hazrat Zainab (peace be upon him) comes to mind at first. The role of this great lady is so outstanding and comprehensive that it requires a lot of time to deal with it.
The personality of Hazrat Zainab (peace be upon him) and the supervision and management of the caravan of captives and the informative and destructive sermons of the welfare-seeking palace residents are more and more apparent in the mind. The content of the sermons of this pure Lady of the House of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon him) represents her knowledge and insight; A lady who has suffered terrible calamities, but she speaks against oppression and oppressors in such a way that it reminds of the sermons and words of Hazrat Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him).
What was stated in this article is a small drop from the sea of epics and constructive and lasting roles that women have recorded in the heart of history. Undoubtedly, many facts remain - as always - and there is no time to address them. It should be mentioned that the topic of direct and indirect roles of women in various fields of society and especially in sensitive and memorable periods of history, such as Mubaat, Ghadir and Karbala, has a wide range as wide as all history, but due to various reasons, including special limitations. Which was created for women at any time by families and governments, and the difference between their basic duties and men's and natural necessity, in other words, their gender duty, these roles have always been missing or faint.
