nature bridge

Osveh, Cultural Institute of Qur'an and Atrat Osveh, Tehran,

There are few people who have not heard the name of nature bridge among the tourist attractions and sightseeing places of Tehran. This bridge is one of the architectural masterpieces of the capital and many people visit it for fun and visiting. At first, the main use of the natural bridge was to connect water and fire gardens and Taleghani to each other; But now it is considered a place for walking and recreation as well as an important tourist destination for foreign and domestic travelers.
Many trees that are placed on both sides of this bridge have increased the oxygen in the space of the bridge and have created a very good weather in this place.
In 1388, a call was published by the Abbasabad Renovation Company in the media, and the design of this bridge was carried out in the form of a competition, and its implementation began at the end of the second six months of 1389.
In 2008, Leila Araghian participated in the nature bridge design competition and in 2008, her design was selected. Tabat Bridge was opened in 1393 solar year.
The length of this bridge is 300 meters and the weight of its structure is 2000 tons. The nature bridge is considered the largest non-motorized bridge in Iran; This bridge has an area of 7000 square meters and the width of the bridge varies between 6 meters and 13 meters in different places. The main body of the bridge is built on tripods, and for its construction, 14,000 steel pieces in different dimensions are assembled and installed at a height of 40 meters from the cutting ground. For the construction of this bridge, more than 102 kilometers of welding and 6200 cubic meters of concrete have been done.
The design of this bridge is inspired by the architecture of Iranian bridges such as the Khajo Bridge and it is a structure with an organic design similar to a tree and fully compatible with the environment and nature, which has similar examples in the national and natural parks of France, Canada, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Made in Malaysia and Australia. The tree form of the columns and the choice of the name "nature" for the bridge both emphasize the connection of two green spaces (two natures) by the bridge.
The nature bridge has 3 floors, the first floor is 1450 square meters, the second floor is 2870 square meters, and the third floor is 571 square meters. Also, on the third floor, a variety of entertainment spaces, from exhibitions and coffee shops to galleries and various restaurants, have been created as an attractive tourist destination.
This bridge made its architects, Leila Araghian and Ali Reza Behzadi, known internationally. Pol Tayet was the first choice of the people and was among the top 5 choices of 300 prominent architects in the world in the A+ (Architizer Awards) competition in 2015.
