Teaching entrepreneurship methods to children

Teaching children to set goals is an effective and fun activity. Research shows that goals written
on paper are more than 80% more likely to happen. Ask your child to identify and write down
his 5 most important goals. To increase effectiveness and create a sense of accomplishment,
make sure your child's goals have the five characteristics of being specific, measurable,
attainable, realistic, and timely. In the next step, ask him to write 5 actions to achieve his goals.
Don't forget to put written goals where both you and your child can easily see them. Try to
encourage and support your child in reaching the specified goals and both enjoy the reward of
reaching the goal.

Children need to learn ways to recognize opportunities:
Many people will never realize their full potential because they are unable to recognize opportunities.
Teach your children that in order to succeed in life, they must always look for opportunities. Ask them to
tell you about the small problems and obstacles that cause them discomfort and confusion, for example,
from difficulty in doing school homework to difficulty in removing an item from the upper shelves of the
closet. Talk to them about how to solve their big and small problems. Teaching how to turn threats into
opportunities and focusing on creating positive solutions for problems is one of the efficient methods of
creating and recognizing opportunities in different situations for children. Every problem has a solution;
Look at this as a fact of life. This fact gives them the courage to develop profitable business ideas.
Being able to sell is a very valuable skill in life. This skill is used in all interactions of people during their
professional life and especially in the field of business. From selling goods and services to customers to
raising capital through investors, sales skills are essential for success in any business. Teach your children
sales skills by encouraging them to sell small items such as old toys or set up a stand to sell lemonade.
Allow them to set prices for their products and sell their products. Try to provide your children with all
the facilities necessary to sell a product and service.
Financial literacy is beneficial for everyone. Economic education at a young age provides
children with an opportunity that most schools do not allocate enough time to teach. Give your
children the opportunity to learn more about money and finances. They learn this by starting
their own small business or by helping you with yours. Teach them investing so they can see

with their own eyes how money can create more money. Open a bank account for your children
to save their income.
Teaching kids about marketing is a great way to help them attract more customers to their future
business. As we all know, without customers, even the biggest businesses fail. Therefore,
children should be taught valuable marketing skills at an early age. Encourage your children to
analyze marketing messages on billboards, banner ads, and print ads in magazines and on
television. Ask them what message caught their attention and see if they can figure out the
meaning of the ad. After several exercises, encourage them to prepare marketing plans for their
business.
Who does not want to see the success and independence of their children? Entrepreneurial
thinking teaches children that their future success depends largely on themselves. Achieving
success depends on their mental model, effort and thoughts. So the next time your child asks you
for money to buy their favorite toy or a new item, ask them to think of ways to get the money
they need to make the purchase. This work will give the child the power of creative thinking,
